Las Pastillas del Abuelo is an Argentine rock band from Buenos Aires, founded in 1998. Their sound is rooted in "Rock Barrial" – a street-level guitar rock that emerged in Buenos Aires in the 1990s – blended with elements of reggae, ska, cumbia and traditional murga. The band, fronted by vocalist Piti Fernández alongside guitarists Diego Bozzalla and Fernando Vecchio, saxophonist Joel Barbeito and keyboardist Alejandro Mondelo, built their reputation through high-energy live performances. Their debut album *Por Colectora* was released in 2005 on Crack Discos, followed by *Crisis* (2008), *El Barrio en sus Puños*, *Desafíos* (2011), *Paradojas* (2015) and the studio album *2020*. Sold-out shows at the iconic Luna Park in Buenos Aires and appearances at Cosquín Rock confirmed their status as one of Latin America's most-watched live acts. In 2024 they released the single *Loco Por Volverla a Ver*. Guest appearances by La Vela Puerca and Chango Spasiuk at Cosquín Rock 2020 underline their deep ties within the Argentine rock community.
