Shimza

Shimza, whose real name is Ashley Raphala, is a South African DJ, producer, and promoter from Tembisa. You hear Afro House at the core of his sound, with Afro Tech, Deep House, and techno influences also part of his style. According to the sources, he started developing his musical skills at the age of 15, supported by his family. He gained international recognition through touring in Europe and North America, including shows in London, Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam, Manchester, and New York. Ibiza is also part of his documented story: he made his debut there at Destino’s Closing Party in 2016 and later held a residency at Privilege Ibiza. A Shimza & Co Closing Party event is also listed for Ibiza in 2026.
