BEAUTY AND THE BEAST
DESCRIPTION: BEAUTY AND THE BEAST is more than a musical for the whole family. It is a cultural and educational project that speaks about our view of society and the need to develop an “empathetic” perspective toward people we consider different. ❗BEST FAMILY MUSICAL AT THE 2023 BROADWAYWORLD AUDIENCE AWARDS❗ An emotional, PARTICIPATORY show in which we discover that there is another way to see the world; and which promotes the value of inclusion, respect for others, and awareness among family audiences. An exciting musical adventure for all ages starring a blind actress and singer who plays BEAUTY, who will have to show THE BEAST that beauty lies in the way we look at others. With an imposing set design, fascinating costumes, a colorful staging, and original musical numbers with live vocals drawing on styles from pop to different Latin rhythms, even trap, it will surprise children and adults alike. SYNOPSIS: BEAUTY is a brilliant and beautiful young woman who lost her sight when she was a child. THE BEAST is a prince under a spell because he is unable to see beyond physical appearance. Their paths cross when THE BEAST takes BEAUTY’s father prisoner, but she decides to take his place and live in the castle with her peculiar host. BEAUTY and her friends, the enchanted objects in the castle, will help THE BEAST understand that the only person capable of breaking the spell is himself if he manages to accept and understand what it truly means to see. The folk tale serves as a starting point to promote values such as empathy, inclusion, diversity, and acceptance of our own differences. DURATION: 75 min. SHOW: FAMILY MUSICAL THEATRE.
