PILAR JUNCOSA – THE SHINING STAR

Pilar Juncosa, who was Joan Miró's romantic partner, was an important figure in the life of the Catalan painter. The Fundació Pilar i Joan Miró, aware of the importance she had in his life, decided to pay tribute to her. They named the foundation's library Biblioteca Pilar Juncosa. In addition, with the aim of adding more Wikipedia entries about women in the Balearic Islands, a profile about her was added. It was a project led by the Biblioteca de Cort, on the occasion of March 8. The Biblioteca Pilar Juncosa, together with her family, and Successió Miró wrote and included the profile of Joan Miró's wife on Wikipedia. Pilar Juncosa was not only a fundamental pillar in Joan Miró's life, but also in his work. That is why, as a continuation of a more than deserved tribute, the Fundació Pilar i Joan Miró included a permanent exhibition dedicated to her. * The exhibition is located in the Biblioteca Pilar Juncosa, accessible on the first floor of the Moneo Building at the Fundació Pilar i Joan Miró.
