The house has more than 30 years of history behind it and is now run by the second generation of the founding family. Chema and his mother Pilar shape the character of the place with a warm, personal approach that deliberately steers clear of mass tourism.

The rooms are spacious, clean and thoughtfully furnished, and the property also offers apartments. Breakfast — served in the charming little courtyard — is hearty and varied. The outdoor facilities include two pools, gardens and an inner courtyard. Donkeys, pigs, sheep and other animals live on the grounds, and the garden is home to mandarin, lemon and orange trees whose fruit guests are welcome to pick themselves.

The hotel sits on a plot just outside Costitx, roughly 30 minutes from Palma Airport. Its central position on the island makes it easy to reach a wide range of destinations by car each day.
