Baró Galeria is a contemporary art gallery in Palma, opened in 2021 as the European outpost of an international gallery originally founded in São Paulo in 1999.

International Art with Latin American Roots

Baró Galeria was founded in 1999 by María Baró in São Paulo, and grew into a key reference point for international art within the Brazilian art world. The gallery brought Latin American art to every corner of the globe, with a presence at major art fairs including Art Basel Miami, Armory Show, Frieze New York, Frieze Masters, ArtBO, ArtBA, Sp-Arte, ArtRio, MACO Mexico, Arco Madrid and Art Dubai. The opening of Baró Mallorca in 2021 created a new space dedicated to fostering dialogue between Europe and the Americas.

Programme & Exhibitions

The gallery presents contemporary art of international scope. Artists represented include Daniel Arsham and Estevan Davi, among others. The exhibition programme is spread across several spaces — including an area called "Next Door" alongside dedicated exhibition rooms — and is complemented by a meeting format bringing together artists, thinkers and collectors, which began under the name Baró House in Madrid.
