The Building & Its History

The current building that houses the town hall was constructed in early 1935. Ses Salines had separated from Santanyí in 1925 and has maintained its own municipal administration ever since. The town hall sits on Plaça Major, 1 — the central square of the village.

The Weekly Market on the Plaça Major

Every Thursday, the square in front of the town hall transforms into a weekly market: fresh fruit and vegetables, colourful flowers and plants, and music fill the air. Outside the busier months, the village takes on a quieter, more relaxed character.
