ANEI de Son Quint
Description
The ANEI de Son Quint is a protected natural area in the Ponent district of Palma, offering woodland walking trails and panoramic views over the Bay of Palma and the Serra de Tramuntana.
Nature in the heart of the city
The protected area surrounding the Son Quint hill lets you explore wooded paths and go hiking without ever really leaving Palma. The trails are well suited to a leisurely stroll as well as more energetic activities such as running or cycling.
Views over Palma and the Tramuntana
The summit of Puig des Revells is marked by a geodetic survey point and rewards the climb with sweeping views across Palma and its bay, as well as out towards the Serra de Tramuntana. The ascent from La Vileta cemetery takes around 50 minutes; an alternative approach runs along the Son Puig walking trail.
Getting there
The area sits within the Ponent district (07011 Palma). Parking is available at La Vileta cemetery, which is also the starting point for the climb. Sturdy footwear is recommended on all routes. Away from the main paths you'll find uneven terrain and remnants of old mining activity, so take extra care — particularly if you're walking with children.
