Aumallia Hotel & Spa is a family-run country hotel with a spa set in the municipality of Felanitx in the east of Mallorca.

A peaceful setting in the Mallorcan countryside

The hotel sits well away from the busy tourist beaches, tucked into a Mediterranean landscape and reached via a narrow country road. If you want to head into Felanitx or reach restaurants nearby, allow at least 15 minutes by car. The rural, secluded surroundings are very much a deliberate part of what this place is all about.

Finca character and rooms

The property blends the charm of a traditional finca with more recent additions. Standard rooms in the older wing are furnished in classic Mallorcan style with plenty of warm wood, giving them a pleasingly rustic feel, while rooms in the newer areas are more spacious and contemporary. Several room categories come with their own private terrace. Pets are welcome.

Pool, gardens and spa

Outside, there's a swimming pool set within well-kept gardens. Inside, a dedicated wellness area includes an indoor pool, sauna, steam room, gym and space for yoga. Massages and other treatments are also on offer. The spa is available to day visitors as well as guests — it's worth booking ahead so that the sauna and steam room are ready when you arrive. Please note that the indoor pool has a minimum age requirement.

Breakfast and dining

Breakfast makes good use of fresh, locally sourced produce — think freshly squeezed orange juice and eggs cooked to order. If you'd like to dine in the hotel in the evening, you'll generally need to let them know by the afternoon of the same day. The kitchen has a strong reputation for quality and variety, though if you're expecting a lavish continental buffet spread, it's worth tempering expectations accordingly.
