The Deià Viewpoint is a public lookout in the mountain village of Deià, nestled on the north-western slopes of the Tramuntana range.

What to Expect

From the viewing platform, your gaze sweeps across winding coastal roads and the terracotta rooftops of the village below. The best vantage point, however, isn't necessarily the platform itself — the view just before you descend onto it is particularly striking. The nearby cemetery, just a few metres away, also rewards a short detour with its own lovely perspective over the village. The walk to the platform winds through narrow lanes past handsome façades, trees and flowering plants, and is very much an experience in its own right.

The viewpoint sits in Deià (07179), a mountain village in the Tramuntana in the west of Mallorca, accessible only via a winding coastal road. The village centre, with its lanes and church, is a short stroll away. There is also a cove within easy walking distance of the village. Parking in Deià is tight, so if you're arriving by car, be prepared to leave it a little further away and walk.
