Description
Bar des Mercat by Nat&Drito is a bar inside the Mercat de Santa Catalina in Palma, cooking fresh market ingredients straight on the plancha.
The concept: from market stall to plancha
The idea behind Nat&Drito is as straightforward as it is brilliant: you pick up fresh fish, seafood or vegetables from the surrounding market stalls and hand them over at the bar — Nat and Drito then cook everything on the plancha. The result is resolutely day-fresh. Alongside the grill service using your market finds, the bar has its own menu: tapas with an unconventional twist, bocadillos, tostas, smash burgers, cocas and nachos. Grilled prawns are a firm favourite, too.
Breakfast, coffee & something sweet
A morning visit is well worth it: the coffee, croissants and sandwiches come highly recommended. Home-made desserts and baked goods — including cheesecake and brownies — round things off nicely. The patisserie items are made in the shop directly opposite.
Inside the Mercat de Santa Catalina
The bar sits at Plaça de la Navegació in the Ponent neighbourhood, within the Mercat de Santa Catalina — stall 45. The lively bustle of the market all around you is very much part of the experience.
