The Biblioteca Municipal de Manacor is Manacor's public town library and forms part of the municipal library service run by the Ajuntament de Manacor.

A Historic Setting

The library is housed in Es Claustre del Convent — a wing of the Convent of San Vicente Ferrer, whose construction began in the mid-17th century. The ground and upper floors are distinguished by magnificent columns and intricate architecture, while the cloister's inner courtyard is a particular draw. This historic ensemble gives the reading rooms an atmosphere that sets them well apart from an ordinary town library.

Collection & Services

The library holds books, periodicals, music and film media, as well as offering internet access. New acquisitions and current reading recommendations are kept regularly up to date. A dedicated children's area is a permanent fixture, hosting monthly workshops and story-time sessions. The Biblioteca de Manacor acts as the coordinating hub of the municipal library network, together with the Biblioteca de Porto Cristo and the Biblioteca de Son Macià. Since 1992, the network has been part of the Xarxa de Biblioteques del Consell de Mallorca.
