Can Axartell is a winery in the north of Mallorca, offering wine tours with tastings and producing its wines using the gravity-flow method.

Winemaking by Gravity Flow

Can Axartell uses a pump-free production process known as the "Mètode Gravetat". With this gravity-flow method, the must moves through the winery entirely by the force of gravity, without any mechanical pressure. The architecture of the estate is designed around this very principle: the building is integrated into an old quarry and makes full use of the natural slope of the terrain. The winery produces red, white, rosé and orange wines, as well as olive oil.

Tours & Tastings

Tours of the production facility and cellars can be booked online. A tasting typically includes five wines, accompanied by local produce and Mallorcan tapas. The guided tour is knowledgeable and covers the entire production process from grape harvest through to labelling. Walk-in tastings are also welcome.
