Description
Cafetería Menfis is a traditional Mallorcan café and bar in the Llevant neighbourhood of Palma.
Mallorcan home cooking, made in-house
Cafetería Menfis is all about homemade Mallorcan food: Variats, Pa amb Oli, potato omelette, Tumbet, Frit de Matances, Frit fet a Sang and Arroz Brut are all firm fixtures on the menu. The frit dishes are a particular speciality — a different version is prepared each day: de sang, de matances, de cordero, de porcella and de pulpo. The desserts, including almond sorbet and homemade sweets, are consistently well loved too.
A daily-changing set menu
The set menu is a cornerstone of the café, with dishes rotating daily based on classic recipes. Thursdays bring Cocido Madrileño, Fridays Fideuà de Marisco and Saturdays Arroz Brut. Portions are generous and the value for money is excellent.
A true neighbourhood spot in Llevant
The café sits at Carrer Torcuato Luca Tena 37 in Palma's Llevant district. It's a classic barrio gathering place, frequented mainly by locals — somewhere with a genuine, well-rooted character. Free on-street parking is available nearby.
Good to know
The entrance, toilets and seating are all fully accessible. Payment by credit card, debit card and contactless is accepted. Food can be eaten in or taken away, and the café is well suited to groups.
