Description

Cala Victoria is a natural shingle cove on the Victòria Peninsula near Alcúdia in the north of Mallorca.

The Cove

Cala Victoria is a shingle and rock beach with a small islet just offshore. The water is clear and the atmosphere wonderfully peaceful — early in the morning or outside peak season, you'll often have the place almost entirely to yourself. Water shoes are a good idea, as both the beach and the path across to the islet are rocky underfoot.

Snorkelling

Snorkelling is the real highlight of Cala Victoria. Fish are a common sight, and the shallow waters around the little islet are also known for octopus and seahorses.

Location & Getting There

The cove sits at Punta Llarga on the Victòria Peninsula, reached via the town of Alcúdia. Using a sat-nav is advisable, as the approach road isn't well signposted. Parking on site is limited, so arriving early makes finding a space considerably easier. The cove is also walkable from Alcúdia.

Who Is It For?

Cala Victoria is a great choice for families with children and for anyone looking for a quiet, unspoilt beach away from the larger, busier resorts. There's a restaurant with a terrace and sea views right on the spot.
