Call Vermell "Taller de Ceràmica" is a ceramics workshop and shop selling handcrafted pottery in Felanitx, founded in 1986 by ceramicist Maria Ramis.

A craft with over 40 years of experience

The studio has more than 40 years of stoneware behind it, with every piece thrown and fired by hand at high temperature. The work weaves together Mediterranean tradition and contemporary craft — a direction Maria Ramis established drawing on prehistoric and ancient Mediterranean pottery, and one that continues to this day. Alongside tableware, the studio produces bespoke one-off pieces and its own distinctive glazes, refined over many years.

Workshop, shop & books

Call Vermell is workshop, retail space and bookshop all at once. The shop carries handmade ceramic pieces — from everyday tableware to smaller gifts and souvenirs — alongside design books and feminist and progressive literature. Works by other artists and makers are also stocked.

Courses & workshops

If you fancy getting your hands dirty, pottery courses are there for the taking. The programme runs from multi-day courses through to themed workshops — including Raku and Christmas workshops that are also suitable for younger children. Tonina and Maria's guidance is widely regarded as warm, open and professional.

The workshop is at Carrer Major 44 in the heart of Felanitx, a small town in the east of Mallorca.
