The Cambra de Comerç de Mallorca is Mallorca's official Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Shipping — a public-law body based in the heart of Palma.

Mission and Services

Founded in 1886, the Chamber exists to promote Mallorca's economic and entrepreneurial development. It acts as an advisory and cooperative body alongside public administration, manages public resources, and delivers specialist services to businesses. These include guidance on registering as self-employed, support with drafting business plans, and a broad continuing education programme covering business management, social media marketing, customer service, and electronic invoicing. The DonaImpuls programme — a free offering for female entrepreneurs, funded by the Institut Balear de la Dona — supports women in shaping their business idea and building a solid business plan. The PICE programme for young people is also part of the Chamber's portfolio.

Advice and Support

Self-employment advice covers tax and fiscal matters, guiding new entrepreneurs clearly through the entire registration process. Business plan support ranges from initial structuring through to identifying gaps in the concept, with the aim of making projects market-ready and commercially viable. The Chamber is also a member of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce network and works actively with official territorial chambers across Spain, the Mediterranean, Europe, and beyond.

The Building

The Chamber's headquarters at Carrer de l'Estudi General 7 in Palma's old town is a destination in its own right. The entrance hall features a striking historic mural depicting the handing of the city keys to King James I, alongside an anchor from a Roman merchant vessel dating to around 300 BC. For events, a well-equipped auditorium and a smart conference room are available.
