Description
Can Sivella is a finca in the mountains near Sóller, where Natalia and Felipe produce their own olive oil and offer tastings of local Mallorcan products to buy and take home.
Olive Oil, Cheese & Mallorcan Specialities
The heart of any visit is the olive oil tasting — the oil is produced on the finca itself and is extraordinarily aromatic. Alongside it come samples of local specialities: cheese, cured meats, bread, honey, jam, herbs, wine, beer and spirits. The products are made from Mallorcan ingredients or come directly from the estate. House-produced olive oil and liqueurs made from local herbs are available to take away. If you'd like a meal, reserve in advance.
A Home in the Mountains — Not a Restaurant
Can Sivella is the private home of Felipe and Natalia, who welcome guests into it. That character — a real home rather than a commercial operation — shapes the whole experience. The hospitality is personal, and stories about the olive harvest and life in the mountains are very much part of the visit. The peaceful, secluded setting among olive groves and mountain scenery adds to the atmosphere.
Getting There: the Path to the Finca
Can Sivella sits on the Camí des Barranc near Sóller and is only accessible on foot — along the walking trail through the Barranc de Biniaraix, part of the GR221. The walk up is part of the experience: many people discover the finca by chance or on the recommendation of fellow hikers. A simple sign points the way to the olive oil tasting.
