The House

German designer, management consultant, and mediator Matthias Dietz discovered the old Villa Vellut and restored it with great care and sensitivity. The modernist building, around a hundred years old, was thoughtfully renovated and gently extended. Every room is individually furnished — understated yet comfortable, with beautiful tiles featured throughout the house. From the property, there are views across the village of Mancor de la Vall and out to the mountain panorama beyond. A rooftop terrace completes the ensemble.

Location & Surroundings

The house sits at Carrer Nou 27 in Mancor de la Vall, a village that sees very little tourist traffic. The Tramuntana mountains begin right behind the house, and walking trails into the Serra de Tramuntana are reachable on foot. Inca is close by, from where the coast is easily accessible.
