Description
Canonge Beach Port is a small, tranquil pebble cove in Port des Canonge, Mallorca – well off the beaten track and blessed with beautifully clear water.
The Cove
The beach is made up of pebbles and stones rather than sand, with clear, turquoise water lapping the shore. When conditions are calm, the cove is well suited to swimming and snorkelling. The atmosphere is quiet and unhurried – locals far outnumber tourists here.
Location & Getting There
Port des Canonge sits on the west coast of Mallorca. The approach road down to the cove is quite demanding: it's narrow, steep, and full of hairpin bends, barely wide enough for a single car. If you meet oncoming traffic, you may need to reverse. Confident drivers handle it without much trouble, but it's not recommended for those who are less experienced behind the wheel. If you'd rather go on foot, a walking route leads down to the cove from Banyalbufar.
Views & Surroundings
The backdrop of sea, rock, and mountains makes this cove a stunning spot for photography. The coastal path also opens up the chance to explore further coves in the surrounding area.
