Description

The Casa Museu Dionís Bennàssar in Pollença preserves the work and world of Mallorcan painter Dionís Bennàssar within his thoughtfully restored former home.

Art in a Lived-In Space

The museum displays paintings, sketches, sculptures and works gifted to Bennàssar by fellow artists — all set within the original architecture of the house where he lived and worked. The painter's studio and personal belongings form part of the exhibition, giving the visit a wonderfully immediate quality. The works are richly coloured, featuring Mallorcan landscapes, beaches, flowers, fish and almond blossom. QR codes are available throughout to help you explore the artist's life and practice in greater depth.

Family-Run, Personally Curated

The museum is run by the artist's family, who welcome visitors personally and offer an introduction to Bennàssar's life and work. The hang of the paintings is considered and cohesive, and the house's inner courtyard makes a lovely spot to linger after your visit. Entry is free; the museum is supported entirely by donations.

In the Heart of Pollença's Old Town

The house is located at Carrer de la Roca 14, tucked among the winding lanes of Pollença's historic old town.
