Coll d'Honor
Description
Coll d'Honor is a mountain pass near Bunyola, reached via the Ma-2100 road into the Orient Valley — a starting point for walkers and a well-known climb for cyclists.
Walking & Cycling
The pass serves as the starting point for a walk up to the summits of Penyal d'Honor. Unsurfaced tracks lead to the rocky ridge, with sweeping views over the Orient Valley along the way. The paths wind across hillsides through open and dense woodland, passing two caves and a birdwatching spot. For cyclists, the ascent from Bunyola via the Ma-2100 is a well-regarded route, with countless hairpin bends winding through forested landscape.
Getting There
The road is narrow and winding — typical of the small mountain roads tucked away in the Mallorcan interior, lined with holm oaks, cork oaks and pine trees. Larger vehicles will struggle on the hairpin bends: anything over six metres in length will need full lock and very slow manoeuvring through the tightest corners. There is no designated car park at the top of the pass.
Location & Surroundings
Coll d'Honor sits on the Ma-2100 within the municipality of Bunyola (07110), between the village of Bunyola and the Orient Valley. The pass road links Bunyola with the island's interior.
