Description
The Columbus Walk — also known locally as the "Pine Walk" — is a coastal path in Port de Pollença that runs right along the water's edge.
The Path
The walkway follows the shoreline closely and is partially shaded by ancient pine trees. It starts at the roundabout in the centre of Port de Pollença and stretches all the way to the military airfield. Along the route you'll find spots to take a dip as well as places to stop for a bite to eat.
Atmosphere & Character
Out of season the walk is quiet and relaxed; in summer it becomes noticeably busier. The water alongside the path is clear, and the stroll offers lovely views of the coastline. Small jetties and sheltered coves give the route its distinctive, unhurried character.
Getting There
The starting point is at Passeig de Colom 9A in Port de Pollença (07470 Pollença).
