Cor de Jesús is a viewpoint crowned by a striking statue of Christ, perched high above the village of Esporles in western Mallorca and reached via a walking trail through dense holm oak woodland.

Statue, Views and Woodland Paths

The highlight of the walk is a large statue of Christ — the Sacred Heart monument — set on an elevated plateau with sweeping views over the village of Esporles, the surrounding valley and the Bay of Palma. The trail winds through peaceful paths in the holm oak forest. Near the monument you'll also find a small chapel that looks rather unassuming from the outside and is generally kept locked.

The Ascent & Route

The climb is steep, particularly in the upper section, and sturdy footwear is strongly recommended. Waymarking is sparse — if you're heading up from Esporles, it's worth using a dedicated walking app rather than relying solely on Google Maps. Bring plenty of water on warm days. The path is quiet and you're unlikely to encounter much foot traffic.

Getting There

Cor de Jesús sits above Esporles (07190) in western Mallorca. A popular starting point is the Son Tries / Son Triat area, from which a circular route is also possible.
