Cova de ca'n Fil offers bolted climbing routes both on the outside and inside the cave — including an overhanging route directly above the cave entrance. The area is a popular climbing spot. If you'd rather walk, the surrounding countryside has natural trails with spectacular views, as well as several restored historic lime kilns set amongst holm oak woodland. Historically, the cave was used to shelter livestock.

The ascent to the cave runs up a slope with a noticeable gradient, and the descent is actually more demanding than the climb up. As sound carries all the way down to the houses below, please be considerate of local residents. The cave is located on private land.
