Description
The Coves de Campanet are a stalactite cave in Campanet, in the north of Mallorca, nestled in the foothills of the Tramuntana mountain range.
Stalactites, stalagmites and quiet chambers
Inside the cave, stalactites, stalagmites and a variety of mineral formations shape a series of spacious chambers. The pathways are well maintained and the lighting is subtle and natural — without the sound-and-light installations you'll find at other cave sites on the island. The pleasantly cool temperature inside makes the Coves de Campanet a wonderfully refreshing visit, especially on hot days.
Explore at your own pace, audio guide included
The cave can be explored independently — there's no compulsory guided tour. An audio guide is available for those who prefer to set their own rhythm, and it comes highly recommended. Tip: bring a pair of Bluetooth headphones to get the most out of it without distraction.
Terrace café and well-kept grounds
A well-tended garden with flower-lined terraces welcomes you at the cave entrance. The on-site café serves coffee and drinks, with the coca de patata and almond drink particularly worth trying — both are described as authentic and home-made. The restaurant on the grounds is said to require a reservation for a sit-down meal.
Location and getting there
The Coves de Campanet are located on Camí de Ses Coves in Campanet, 07310. Free parking is available directly on site, with additional free street parking nearby.
