The Culinary Lab in Cala d'Or is a culinary experience centre bringing together cooking classes, wine tastings, wine tours and craft beer experiences all under one roof.

Cooking Classes & Culinary Workshops

At the heart of the Culinary Lab are cooking classes that introduce you to Mallorcan cuisine. You'll cook in great company under expert guidance, with traditional Mallorcan recipes very much on the menu. The 'Food and Wine' class combines hands-on cooking with a paired wine tasting, and you'll sit down together afterwards to enjoy the meal you've made. Groups can work their way through a three-course menu, and everyone takes home a recipe booklet as a memento. Expect to cook dishes such as paella, tapas and Spanish omelette, with workshops on local specialities like Hierbas and olive oil rounding things off nicely.

Wine Tastings & Wine Tours

The wine offering focuses squarely on wines from the island. Tastings come with explanations about the individual wineries, and wine tours are available as private events, complete with tapas. If you'd like to go even deeper, winemaker evenings are also part of the programme.

Open Taproom & Craft Beer

Inside the Culinary Lab you'll find Island Brew Mallorca — the beer is brewed in the basement and served directly above it in the taproom. The Open Taproom is a permanent fixture of the venue, making the Culinary Lab the only place on Mallorca where you can enjoy handcrafted beer right where it's made.
