Description
Eat Vacuum Cooking is a cookery school and event venue in Palma where participants cook their own dishes and then sit down together to enjoy them.
Cooking, not watching
The whole concept at Eat Vacuum Cooking revolves around getting stuck in: every participant cooks their own dish, guided step by step by the instructors. Classes are designed for a range of abilities and are open to anyone who simply enjoys being in the kitchen. The programme covers a broad mix of culinary styles — from an Italian cookery class and a luxury tartare course to formats such as "Mallorca a Japón" and "Tokyo a Lima". Alongside the hands-on classes, show-cooking events are also held, placing the craft of the chefs front and centre, with techniques and ingredients explained in detail.
Kitchen, team and atmosphere
The space is clean and well equipped, and the quality ingredients are prepped and ready to go at the start of each class. The sessions run smoothly and are professionally organised. The teaching team includes instructors Gerard Armengol, Miquel, Raul, Julian, Esteban, David and Steven. The atmosphere is lively and fun — cooking alongside other people is every bit as much a part of the experience as the shared meal that follows. The venue also has a covered terrace with seating.
Events and special occasions
Beyond regular classes, Eat Vacuum Cooking has hosted external professional events, including the ACREW Chef Competition — a cookery contest for yacht chefs that held its second edition here in February 2025. This demonstrates that the venue is well suited to professional culinary events as well.
Located in the Llevant neighbourhood
The cookery school is situated in the Llevant neighbourhood of Palma, at Carrer Projecte Home 6.
