Ecotxe is a car-sharing cooperative based in Palma that gives its members access to electric vehicles by the hour or by the day.
Cooperative Car Sharing with Electric Vehicles
Founded in 2016, Ecotxe runs a fleet of five electric cars: four are based in Palma and one in Esporles. The first vehicle was purchased through a crowdfunding campaign, while the rest have been funded through the cooperative's own income. Use of the vehicles is exclusively for cooperative members — new members receive their first five hours of driving free of charge. All booking and administration is handled entirely online.
