Mead Made In-House

At El Búho, mead is produced right on site — you're welcome to take a peek at the production area and follow the journey from raw ingredient to finished bottle. The range includes the house's own meads alongside bottles from other producers. Confirmed flavours include strawberry and vanilla, mixed berries, red berries, carob, smoke, Mediterranean, and classic mead. If you're buying a bottle to take away, it can be corked and labelled for you on the spot.

Guided Tastings with Food Pairings

The centrepiece of the experience is the guided tasting, where several meads — often accompanied by cheese, fuet, sobrasada, and other nibbles — are tried in turn. Hosts Sergio and Xenxo walk you through the production process and the character of each variety. Whether you're completely new to mead or already a fan, the format is genuinely engaging and informative. Themed tastings also take place from time to time, exploring specialist meads from other regions.

Atmosphere & Vibe

The taproom is a cosy, intimate space with a main room and an additional area downstairs. Board games are on hand, and a soundtrack leaning towards rock and metal — sometimes acoustic — plays in the background without getting in the way of conversation.
