Description

El Serral de ses Monges is a sprawling park and leisure area in Inca, combining open green spaces, picnic and barbecue zones, and nature trails all in one place.

A Green Space with a Natural Character

The park covers 70,000 square metres and includes sweeping green areas, a wetland zone, an ecological garden known as "parades de crestall", a gardening workshop school, and 200 holm oak trees. A long nature trail winds through the grounds — and the park also serves as an outdoor classroom for local schools studying the natural world.

Picnics and Barbecues

At the heart of the park is a generously laid-out picnic and barbecue area, complete with numbered tables, benches, and grills, all well spaced apart. Tables are not available on a first-come, first-served basis — you need to book in advance, with weekend and bank holiday reservations made through the Aula de Natura. A few ground rules apply: loud noise and music are not permitted, and dogs must be kept on a lead. A recycling station is also on hand.

Views and Atmosphere

The park offers lovely views of the mountains and is shaded by trees that provide a comfortable retreat even on the hottest days. The atmosphere is peaceful and close to nature — a genuine contrast to the urban surroundings, despite being right on the doorstep of Inca.
