Description
Far de Cap Blanc is a lighthouse perched on the clifftops of Llucmajor in the south of Mallorca — a wild and dramatic vantage point high above the sea.
Cliffs, Space and Silence
The lighthouse stands on towering cliffs with sweeping panoramic views of the coastline and the open sea. On clear days, the island of Cabrera is visible on the horizon. At sunset, the scene is particularly unforgettable — light moves across rock and water before fading into darkness. If you're looking for peace and quiet, you'll find it here: away from peak times, the spot is remarkably tranquil and off the beaten track. Photographers love it both for golden-hour and night photography.
Terrain and Access
The ground around the lighthouse is rough and rocky — it is not suitable for people with limited mobility. The lighthouse itself is fenced off and cannot be entered. There is very little shade, so sun protection is strongly advisable. From the car park, it's just a short walk to the cliff edge.
Safety Note
Vehicle break-ins are a recurring problem at the Far de Cap Blanc car park. Broken glass on the ground is a clear warning sign. Never leave valuables or luggage unattended in your car.
Location & Getting There
Far de Cap Blanc is in the municipality of Llucmajor (07639). There is a free car park right by the lighthouse, with additional free on-street parking nearby. The site is accessible without a four-wheel drive. A walking route heading towards Cala Pi also starts from here.
