The Lighthouse

In operation since 1861, the white 18-metre tower stands on a clifftop plateau and continues to serve as an active navigational aid. The lighthouse grounds themselves are fenced off and not open to visitors — but the viewpoints surrounding it offer a vast panorama that makes the trip more than worthwhile on its own.

The panorama stretches far across the Mediterranean, the surrounding cliffs, and the jagged coastline. On clear days, Menorca is visible from here. Parking directly at the lighthouse is very limited, though free on-street parking is available nearby. The site is also reachable on foot or by bicycle.
