Description
Finca Son Menut is a riding and agrotourism hotel in Felanitx, in the south-east of Mallorca, bringing together riding lessons, accommodation and a restaurant all under one roof.
Riding at the heart of it all
The centrepiece of Son Menut is its riding school, with well-trained, well-cared-for horses. Lessons cater to both beginners and more experienced riders — children can take their first steps on ponies, while adults learn in small groups of typically three to four people. Instructors pay close attention to individual preferences and the choice of horse. Guests with riding experience speak of well-structured weekly programmes with daily lessons and rides out into the countryside.
Food from the local area
The finca's restaurant works with regional ingredients, some of them home-grown. The cooking is rooted in local tradition and changes with the seasons; a set daily menu is available alongside the à la carte option. Visitors coming just for the day can book a Day Pass, which includes lunch and pool access. Dietary requirements — including coeliac needs — are accommodated with care.
Accommodation & grounds
The rooms — including Superior categories with a balcony or terrace — are described as spacious, well-appointed and spotlessly clean. The grounds feature a pool with a shaded sunbathing area. A sense of peace and immaculate upkeep runs through almost every guest's account of the property. Son Menut is also a well-established venue for weddings and private celebrations of all kinds.
Location & surroundings
The finca is situated at Agrupació Son Tauler 8 in Felanitx, set within tranquil countryside in the south-east of the island. The approach road is narrow but well signposted. If you're travelling without a car, it's worth knowing that the nearest bus stop is five kilometres away — having your own transport makes life considerably easier.
