Description
Finca Son Mico is a café set on a historic finca above Sóller, offering walkers and day-trippers homemade cakes, quiches and freshly pressed juices amid the stunning scenery of the Tramuntana mountains.
Homemade Goodness from the Finca Kitchen
The heart of Son Mico is its selection of freshly baked cakes and tarts — the lemon meringue tart is a firm favourite and a highlight not to be missed. An almond and orange tart and a chocolate and cinnamon cake are among the other house specialities. Alongside the sweet treats, you'll find savoury quiches and freshly squeezed orange juice from trees growing on the finca itself. As much of the food is prepared fresh each day in limited quantities, certain items can sell out as the day goes on.
A Finca with Centuries of History
This traditional Mallorcan country house dates back to the 13th century and has been in the Coll family for generations. Today, sisters Inés and Isabelle Coll run the café, and the character of the old estate — with its garden and rustic charm — is very much part of the experience.
Views and Atmosphere
The terrace looks out over a sweeping panorama of the Sóller valley and the surrounding mountains. The mood is calm and unhurried — piano music, lush greenery and the historic stone walls of the finca create an atmosphere far removed from your average café.
Location and Getting Here
Son Mico sits along the MA-10 at kilometre marker 54.6, above Sóller, right on the GR221 (Ruta de Pedra en Sec) on the stage between Deià and Sóller. This makes it a natural stopping point for anyone walking that stretch. Parking directly outside is limited, though free roadside parking is available nearby.
Good to Know
Son Mico is cash only — card payments are not accepted. Toilets are available on site, and the café is well suited to families with children.
