Description

Forastera Craft Beer Mallorca is an independent, family-run brewery and taproom in Alaró, brewing and serving its own beers on the very same premises.

Craft Beer Straight from the Brewery

The beer is brewed in the same building where you drink it. Every recipe is Forastera's own, using organic malt — from Pilsner and Pale Ale to IPA and Porter. One beer with a real character all of its own is the "Punk is dead IPA negra". Several draught options are always on tap, and bottled beers are available to take away.

Beer Tasting as the Main Event

A centrepiece of the Forastera experience is a tasting of five beers, guided by brewer Sven, who walks you through each one in detail — brewing processes, fermentation, beer styles. Homemade bread is served alongside. The tasting is designed to be savoured at a leisurely pace, and guests typically spend several hours enjoying it.

Homemade Food

Food is a serious affair here too: pizza, tapas, hot dogs and quiche are all made by hand. The sourdough bread from their own bakery stands out as a highlight across the board. The coffee — including café con leche — also earns consistent praise.

Atmosphere and How It's Run

Forastera is a true family business: Sven and Marta run it together, and personal connection with guests is very much part of the ethos. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, with outdoor seating to complement the indoor space.
