At the heart of Forn Can Nadal is its wood-fired oven, from which ensaimadas emerge in the time-honoured way — light, handmade, and available in a range of varieties including crème or chocolate filling as well as walnut. Alongside these, the bakery produces Mallorcan breads, particularly dark loaves, as well as savoury island classics such as empanadas and cocarrois.

If you'd like to take an ensaimada home, it's well worth ordering in advance. The team are also happy to let you know how the pastries can be packaged to travel safely on a flight.
