Description

Forn de ca'n Torres is a bakery and café in Alcúdia specialising in traditional Mallorcan bread and pastries, and has been run by the same family since 1885.

Five Generations of Baking Craft

Since 1885, Forn de ca'n Torres has stood for Mallorcan baking tradition — now in the fifth generation of the Torres family. In 1988, the fourth generation decided to build a larger oven, as the original had simply become too small. Today, the obrador produces bread, bollería, and fine pastries every day using the family's own time-honoured recipes.

Ensaimadas, Empanadas and More

The range runs from ensaimadas in a variety of flavours — including crema and albaricoque — to crespells, cocarrois, and coques, as well as savoury pastries filled with meat, fish, or vegetables, plus cakes and other sweet treats. Coffee specialities, including espresso and cappuccino, are served alongside.

Atmosphere and Clientele

The café has a warm, homely feel. Seating is available both inside and outside, and the place is well kept. Whether you're after a quick coffee or a leisurely breakfast, it works equally well for both.

Location in Alcúdia

The bakery is situated at Carrer del Moll 17 in Alcúdia — the street that gives the Catalan business name its character. Both takeaway and eat-in are welcome.
