Description

Forn del Santo Cristo is a traditional bakery and café-pâtisserie in the heart of Palma, with over a hundred years of history behind it.

Ensaimadas and Mallorcan baking tradition

Ensaimadas are the star of the show, available in a wonderful range of fillings including cream, chocolate, apple, apricot, coconut, cinnamon, cabello de ángel and pistachio. Alongside these, you'll find a fine selection of traditional island specialities — among them gató (Mallorcan almond cake), coca de patata, coca trampo, crespells and quiche. The coffee, too, is consistently excellent.

Charm steeped in history

Founded in 1910, the bakery has remained true to traditional recipes and methods ever since. The interior is wonderfully charming — retro, atmospheric and full of character, a world away from the interchangeable tourist shops that surround it.

Location & getting here

You'll find the bakery at Carrer de Sant Miquel 47 in the Centre district of Palma. Paid parking is available nearby.
