Description
Fundación Deixalles in Palma is a not-for-profit organisation that collects, refurbishes and resells second-hand goods — all in the service of social inclusion and reuse.
Second-hand goods given a new lease of life
The shop in the Llevant neighbourhood stocks furniture, clothing, kitchen items and all manner of pre-loved goods. Everything on offer is generally well kept and clean, and the ever-changing selection makes for a rewarding browse.
A social mission at its heart
Deixalles was founded in 1986 on the initiative of the Delegación de Acción Social de Cáritas Diocesana and PIMEM, and is today owned by the Associació Amics de Deixalles, made up of people who work within the organisation. It operates as a centre for preparing goods for reuse (Centro de Preparación para la Reutilización) and is guided by the principles of the solidarity economy. An online shop is also available through the organisation's website.
Home collections and donations
If you have usable items to pass on, the foundation offers a free home collection service. It's worth getting in touch beforehand and submitting photos where possible, as not every item can be accepted — this depends on condition and current logistics capacity.
Location & getting there
The collections office is located at Carrer del Cedre 9 in the Llevant district of Palma. Accessible parking is available directly on site, and the entrance is fully step-free.
