Description
GastroBar By Angélica Pastrana is an owner-run restaurant in the Sa Vileta – Son Rapinya neighbourhood of Palma, serving creative fusion cuisine rooted in Latin American, Mediterranean and Asian traditions.
Cuisine & Dishes
The kitchen brings together European, Latin American, Mediterranean, Asian and Colombian influences into a style the restaurant describes as "cocina ancestral con sello de autor" — ancestral cooking with a personal signature. Ceviche and octopus are among the standout dishes, while empanadas and arepas have earned a reputation as firm starter favourites. For dessert, the chocolate mousse and cheesecake are the ones to go for. The menu is deliberately concise and changes with the seasons; a Menú del Día and à-la-carte options are also available. Guests with gluten or lactose intolerances will find the kitchen happy to adapt dishes to their needs.
Special Events
Alongside its regular service, GastroBar hosts themed evening events. "Orígines" saw Angélica Pastrana invite guests to a six-course fusion menu centred on cacao, accompanied by a wine expert and live music — a memorable blend of gastronomy, culture and history.
Atmosphere & Character
The restaurant is small and intimate, with tasteful décor and an outdoor terrace. It is family-run, and Angélica Pastrana regularly comes to the tables in person to talk through her dishes. Many of the recipes are rooted in family tradition.
Getting There
The restaurant is located at Camí de Son Rapinya 48, Bajos, in Palma. It sits beneath an arcade and is easy to miss from a distance — the entrance reveals itself as you get closer.
