The Giovanni L. story begins in 1961, when the Lasagna family grandfather opened his first ice cream parlour. Giovanni Lasagna, born in Steinhude in 1972, carried the legacy forward and opened the first Giovanni L. gelateria in Hanover in 2005, followed by a second location in Kiel in 2006. The Palma outpost carries the "Gelato Deluxe" name.
