Description
Hort de Sa Vall is a working farm in Manacor offering guided experience tours with tastings and meals made from its own home-grown produce.
Experience what grows
At the heart of the visit is a guided tour through the farm's plots, where you'll learn how fruit and vegetables are grown — and taste them straight from the plant. Tomatoes, strawberries, lemons, melons, cucumbers and whatever else is in season are all fair game. Afterwards there's a BBQ or a set menu built around the farm's own produce, enjoyed either outdoors or in an on-site dining room with an open kitchen. Some evenings feature live music. There's also a small farm shop on the grounds stocking produce from the farm alongside other local goods.
Who'll enjoy it most
The tours are very much geared towards families with children — seeing where food actually comes from makes for a genuinely eye-opening experience for younger visitors. Host Magdalena and her team create a warm, home-from-home atmosphere throughout. Private events, school visits and group trips for older adults can also be booked through the website.
Location & getting there
The farm sits at Polígono 27, Parcela 41, just outside the town centre of Manacor in the Balearic Islands. Your own transport is the easiest way to get here; some guests have their visit arranged through their hotel, with a transfer included.
