Description
Hostal Miramar is a family-run guesthouse in a 19th-century building in Deià.
Character & Atmosphere
The restored 19th-century house wears its character proudly: rustic furniture, wooden beams and vintage decoration fill the rooms, while paintings and flowers adorn the walls. The atmosphere is deliberately simple and authentic — a world away from the tourist crowds. On the terrace, cats are a firm part of daily life.
Rooms & Facilities
The rooms are compact, clean and well maintained. Some have an en-suite bathroom, while others share a shower and toilet in the corridor — the shared facilities are equally clean and well kept. There is no air conditioning; a fan is provided in each room. That's worth knowing before you book during the summer months. The older building also carries some noise between rooms.
Breakfast & Terrace
Breakfast is one of the house's real highlights: generous, home-made and served with freshly squeezed orange juice. The terrace, with its views over Deià, the sea and the Tramuntana mountains, turns the morning meal into one of the most memorable moments of your stay — and it's equally hard to leave when the sun begins to set.
Location & Surroundings
The hostal sits at Camí es Recó 2 in Deià, a short walk downhill from the village centre. The surrounding area is excellent for walking — the GR221 long-distance route passes through — and equally popular with road cyclists. Parking is available in front of the property, though the approach by car is fairly challenging.
