The building that houses Can Font dates back to the 12th century and has been carefully restored to preserve its original character. Vaulted stone walls, imposing old wine barrels and rustic timber features define the ground-floor celler — an atmosphere that feels quietly charming and romantic. The hotel rooms occupy the upper floor, designed with peace and homeliness in mind.

Mallorcan Cuisine in the Celler

The restaurant focuses on traditional Mallorcan cooking using locally sourced produce. Dishes on offer include Frito de Sineu, Tumbet, croquetas, leg of lamb, salt cod and Secreto ibérico. A vegan version of Frito de Sineu made with seitan is also available. The wine list and the celler setting are very much part of the experience.

Can Font sits directly on the Plaça in Sineu (Plaça 18). The square and its adjoining church make for a particularly peaceful and pleasant spot in the evenings. The famous weekly market of Sineu takes place just a short walk from the property on Wednesdays. Parking is available within the village and on its outskirts.
