Description
Huaca Rajada is a Peruvian restaurant in Palma de Mallorca serving authentic cuisine rooted in the northern Peruvian tradition — in particular the style of the Chiclayo region.
Peruvian cuisine with a northern twist
The menu has a clear identity: authentic Peruvian cooking is at the heart of everything, with a strong focus on the Chiclayo style from northern Peru. The ceviche is one of the most celebrated dishes on offer. The Trio de Causas — including Causa al olivo alongside prawn and ceviche-style variations — is another classic that draws plenty of orders. For mains, Lomo saltado and Arroz chaufa are firm favourites, while the Pisco Sour comes highly recommended as a drink, as does the Chicha morada. To finish, desserts such as Lúcuma mousse, Suspiro limeño and Tres leches with passion fruit round things off beautifully. Portions are generous, so if you're unsure, it's worth ordering one dish at a time and taking it from there.
Atmosphere & décor
The interior draws inspiration from the Mochica culture, creating a warm and cohesive atmosphere. The team is happy to talk you through the dishes and answer any questions about the cuisine — all of which adds to the feel of a personal, attentive restaurant. Families and groups are very much welcome.
Location & surroundings
The restaurant is on Carrer del Marquès de la Sènia 14 in the Ponent neighbourhood, a little away from the busier tourist trail of Santa Catalina. It's the kind of place you seek out deliberately — and it rewards you with a noticeably quieter, more relaxed setting.
