Description
The Inca Street Market is a weekly market in the heart of Inca, spreading across the entire old town.
What's on offer: From fresh produce to leather goods
The range of goods on offer is impressively broad. Fresh fruit and vegetables, plants and cut flowers make up a strong part of the market, alongside local produce such as cured meats, ham, olives and cheese. You'll also find leather goods, clothing, bags, jewellery and household items. Mallorcan leather products are a particular highlight. If you're after regional food, head towards the church, where the food stalls are concentrated.
Character and atmosphere
The market winds its way through numerous lanes and streets of the old town, taking over the entire historic centre. Alongside the market stalls, bars and cafés offer a welcome spot to take a break. It's a mixed picture: local vendors selling regional products sit alongside traders offering clothing, bags and other mass-produced goods — a balance that not every visitor will feel equally enthusiastic about. Traditional crafts are on the thinner side.
Location and getting there
The market takes place on Plaça Santa Maria la Major and the surrounding streets in Inca. Parking is in short supply on market day, but there is a car park close to the church that offers a reliable option. Arriving early gives you the best chance of securing a space.
