Kewenig is an international gallery for modern and contemporary art, with a location in the heart of Palma.
Programme & Gallery
Kewenig supports and nurtures the careers of modern and contemporary artists. Founded in 1986 as Jule Kewenig Galerie, the gallery now runs exhibition spaces in both Berlin and Palma de Mallorca. It remains a family-run business: Jule Kewenig leads the Palma location, while Justus F. Kewenig took over the Berlin gallery in 2017.
The Exhibition Space
The gallery is housed in the Oratori de Sant Feliu — a historic chapel in the centre of Palma. The medieval architecture provides a striking and unusual setting for contemporary art, giving each exhibition a distinct character all of its own. Alongside solo and group shows, the Oratori also hosts events such as talks, performances and artist conversations.
