Description

La Casa de Robert Graves – also known as Ca n'Alluny – is a house museum in Deià dedicated to the life and work of the poet and author Robert Graves.

A house that hasn't forgotten its inhabitants

The home is extraordinarily well preserved: original manuscripts, personal belongings, books and the original furnishings remain exactly where they always were. The visit begins with a short introductory film about Robert Graves's life – informative and brought to life with archival photos and footage. Walking through the rooms, you get a real sense of stepping into the author's private world. A timeline on the wall traces his entire bibliography alongside the publication dates of each work.

A garden with sea views

The garden is one of the house's true highlights. Lovingly tended beds and an orchard frame views of the coastline and the Tramuntana mountains – a quiet, atmospheric spot that invites you to linger.

Location & getting there

The museum is located at Ctra. Sóller 6 in Deià, roughly 600 metres from the village centre. On busy days, finding a parking space can take some time, so if you're arriving by car it's worth setting off on the early side.
