The shop was founded in 1918 by Josep Puncernau Viladot, initially on Carrer de Sant Miquel before moving to Carrer de Vilanova. La Filadora is one of Palma's most iconic retailers and holds the official "Emblemàtic" distinction awarded by the Balearic Islands.
